Cycling is a key priority for Fife Council and its partners with issues such as congestion, health and climate change all demonstrating the need for more people to get more exercise and, where possible, to travel actively.
Fife Council has been at the forefront of cycle route development in Scotland with a network of over 350 miles of cycle routes.
These are extensively used and are being continuously improved and extended.
Of greatest success are a number of traffic free routes across Fife which see in excess of 300,000 journeys a year by bike.
As a further investment into cycling in Fife, Fife Cycle Park offers a range of programmes for children, young people and adults including learn to ride, returning to ride, development and advanced sessions. Clubs, groups and schools can hire the facility to deliver their own development sessions. Fife Cycle Park is located between Lochgelly and Lochore and is the first facility of its kind in Fife!
